Lost - Northern Ireland Series 5 Episode 1: Birthday Booze Up
Hurley wants to throw a birthday party for “Wee Tiny Jackie” but Jack and the rest of the group don’t think it’s a good idea, however when Sawyer arrives the plan changes and a night they will never forget ensues
As Lost prepares to end its final season, a certain amount of reflection is in order. Few characters have changed as much as Jin Kwon, who went from an angry outsider to one of the show’s most beloved core players. And after reuniting with Sun a few weeks ago, it looks like we’ll be getting a hell of a lot more Jin in the coming weeks. I snagged a few minutes with actor Daniel Dae Kim to discuss his character’s growth and his odd metaphor for his fellow islanders.
"South Park - we’d stand beside you if we weren’t so scared"
In their ever changing opening credits The Simpsons team reached out some tongue-in-cheek support to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone after they were issued a death threat by a radical Muslim group. The death threat came after the duo depicted the Muslim Prophet Mohammed inside a bear suit during South Park’s celebratory two part, 200th episode. Im sure the support would have been appreciated if Bart and Co. weren’t a bunch of animated, scaredy cats.
Here comes a new Mashup-Germany reagge style mashup for. But before we start, words by Ben Stilller: "Since the release of Matisyahu’s “One Day” I wanted to mix it in a Mashup. Unforunately I never got hand of an acapella or instrumental. So I got very excited when I got the Stems of the track a few weeks ago. I mixed them with John Lennon, Bob Marley, Blink 182 and the great german artist Gentleman. This production took me very long to finish, it was a lot of work. I hope you guys like it and it’s worth it. There is also a Bonus Track in this Release. I used the instrumental of the latest track of the german artist Xavier Naidoo and combined it with Matisyahu Vocals. The result is a pretty intense Ballad. Take it or leave it :)"
Mixing: Matisyahu – One Day (Acapella) Matisyahu feat. Akon – One Day (Instrumental) John Lennon – Imagine (Acapella) Blink 182 – All the Small Things (Acapella) Bob Marley – No Woman, No Cry (Acapella) Gentleman – Dem Gone (Live at Cologne)

This year (August 11th to be exact) marks the return of one of sci-fi’s most beloved franchises. It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since the predator’s last outing (no were not counting AVP movies here thank you very much) and thirteen years since Arnie brain stormed - “If it bleeds, we can kill it” - while jumping down waterfalls and painting himself in mud. Having said that the iconic alien itself has never really left the public consciousness with comic books, computer games and cross-over films (yes were talking AVP again) keeping the mythos alive.
Now however the formidable creature is making his proper big screen return in the aptly named Predators. The film will be produced by Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City) who began writing the screenplay back in 1996 and even pitched the concept to Arnold Schwarzenegger when he was flirting with the idea of directing. This year 20th Century Fox green lit the project and Rodriguez has enlisted Nimrod Antal (Vacancy) to direct.
As the name may suggest, think of this film as the Aliens of the Predator franchise; a group of humans are sent to a planet, the planet is infested with murderous blood hungry aliens, the humans scream a lot and then get horribly mutilated (except for Sigourney weaver and that little girl….oh wait). Rodriguez has promised to bring the franchise back to it’s character driven roots of the original and the cast that has been handed this task include: Adrian Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Walton Goggins and Louis Ozawa Changchien.
This unfortunate bunch, all ruthless killers by the way, have been transported to a jungle planet which is serving as a game reserve for the Predators. Here the alien race can study humans, torture and kill them and by doing so learn more about our species. All the humans are strangers to one another upon arriving on the planet but they soon realise if they can band together and work as a team they might have a chance of survival. However with so many volatile characters in one group, trying to keep ego’s in check is sure to lead to some interesting run-in’s.
Rodriguez and Antal, at a press conference recently in Texas, unveiled some concept art and promised that the film would showcase several variations on the original predator (although also noting that the original would make an appearence). Antel insisted, to the glee of film fans everywhere, there will be no CGI predator’s in sight: the film implements actors, suits and animatronics.
Hi! My name is Paul. I'm 22 and I live in Northern Ireland which sort of makes me Irish but more accurately actually makes me British. Confusing isn't it?
I graduated from University with a degree in film and my professional job title is "freelance V.T. Editor" however my actually title is "completely silly man-boy".
Here I will blog my, hopefully, unique ramblings as well as using this page as a showcase for my many utterly silly filmic endeavours.
I enjoy Climbing Mountains, Staring At Stars & Making paper aeroplanes.
